9/28/2016: bay.org Hosts 6th Annual San Francisco Bay Gala

Join bay.org for the only black tie affair under the Bay

SAN FRANCISCO, CA – September 28, 2016 -
Enjoy a rock n’ roll evening with sharks, otters, and 20,000 amazing aquatic animals on Friday, October 21, 2016, as bay.org hosts the annual San Francisco Bay Gala at Aquarium of the Bay. Join us for the City’s biggest party celebrating the Bay and support bay.org’s mission to protect, restore, and inspire conservation of our beloved Bay.
This year’s theme is Soundwaves and will feature music of all genres throughout the Aquarium. Guests are encouraged to show off their best rock n’ roll black tie look and enjoy sweet beats under the Bay.
The evening will kick off with a VIP reception on the patio outside of the Aquarium’s North American River Otter exhibit, where panoramic sunset views will give way to glistening city lights. Inside, illuminating jellies and swirling schools of anchovies act as nature’s disco ball.
Following the VIP reception, the Aquarium will transform into a musical utopia with themed rooms, live music, dancing, a silent auction, a photo station, and more. Guests will enjoy culinary delights from some of San Francisco’s finest restaurants including Hog Island Oyster Company, Fog Harbor Fish House, Waterbar, and Luna Blu – just to name a few. Hosted bars will offer “ottertinis,” luscious cocktails, wine, and champagne so guests can sip bubbles with the animals that make them.
For the first time ever this year, the San Francisco Bay Gala will be followed by an after party, where guests can rock into the night at the waterfront’s hottest party with a full bar, delicious bites, and two DJ’s spinning until 1 am.
The San Francisco Bay Gala is a celebration of the Bay and the stellar beauty of this iconic location, and is bay.org’s biggest fundraiser of the year. It’s not too late to join the festivities. Guests can purchase tickets for the VIP Party, Gala, or After Party for the San Francisco Bay Gala at www.sfbaygala.org.
