Discover the Bay Hybrid Ferry Program
Join Aquarium of the Bay and Alcatraz Cruises for a unique, hands-on educational experience. Led by an expert team of Aquarium Educators , the Discover the Bay Hybrid Ferry Program provides an immersive learning experience of San Francisco Bay from onboard the Hornblower Hybrid.
This program includes:
The ecology of San Francisco Bay and the surrounding Golden Gate National Recreation Area;
Impacts of climate change to the region and innovative energy saving technologies;
The practices of science through guided observation, use of scientific instruments, and problem solving;
- An optional tour of Aquarium of the Bay.
The Discover the Bay Hybrid Ferry Program is only available on limited dates during the school year.
9:50 am-1:15 pm (2:15 pm if Aquarium tour is included)
Maximum number of total participants (students, teachers, and chaperones) per program: 45
- Mandatory Requirement: Minimum 1 adult chaperone per 7 student ratio.

Please Note: bay.org’s Aquarium of the Bay, Sea Lion Center and BayMobile free education programs are available to all K-12 school groups from the 9 Bay Area counties (Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Solano and Sonoma). This does not include after-school or youth group programs affiliated with K-12 schools. All other youth or non-Bay Area school groups wishing to visit Aquarium of the Bay programs should contact our Group Sales Department at email@example.com.
