Lost Gear, Found Heroes

Aquarium of the Bay challenged Truth Be Told to create a story that helped explain how some leaders in the fishing industry are addressing the issue of lost fishing gear. A marine debris story evolved to include a chapter on sustainable seafood. Come on a journey with us to meet a few of the people who are making an important difference in the world of ocean health.

We are proud to announce that our film “Lost Gear” was accepted into the San Francisco International Ocean Film Festival. Launched in 2004, this festival is dedicated to using film as a medium to increase public awareness of the environmental, social, and cultural importance of marine ecosystems and foster a spirit of ocean stewardship. This years’ festival features over 40 films from 13 countries, ranging from sharks to surfing, ocean conservation to deep-water explorations, and more.

See some of these amazing films that capture the spirit of the ocean–including Lost Gear–on the big screen. The San Francisco Ocean Film Festival runs from February 27-March 2 at the Cowell Theater in Fort Mason. Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for students, and $8 for seniors and children under 12.
