George Jacob, President & CEO of Bay.org, joins The California Travel Association (CalTravel) board of directors. CalTravel, the influential unified voice for California’s travel and tourism industry  has protected and enhanced the interests of the California travel and tourism industry through advocacy, collaboration, and education. Travel and tourism is one of the most significant economic drivers in the state – responsible for hundreds of billions of dollars in economic activity, millions of jobs and billions in tax revenues.  Visitors to California spent $132.4 billion in 2017, spending that supported over one million jobs. Travelers to and from California generated $10.9 billion in state and local taxes in 2017 to support vital public services.
